This guys work is FAT another one that's apart of Subvibed. Your gonna need to bring out our subs for his work.
Quick Bio: I'm from San Jose California and my production name is 65L. I like the darker, moodier side of Dubstep/Dnb as well as the more Jumpup kind of stuff.
[65L]For as long as I can remember, but i started paying closer attention to the arrangements and production of electronic music around 2008.
[IF]What was your first event as a attendee?
[65L]Hardcore and metal shows. I would be at one sometimes 3 times a week. As far as electronic music however, it was at the Nocturnal Festival.
[IF]Who was your first favorite artist/group?
[65L]Metallica
[IF]When did you first start producing?
[65L]Around 2008.
[IF]When did you start DJing? How did you learn?
[65L]Again around 2008. I picked up a hercules rmx console and it allowed me to understand the fundamentals of beat matching, and later, picking and choosing songs that work well together. I now use turntables.
[IF]First setup and current set up(including comps, software,drum-pads, etc)
[65L]First setup was a terribly slow dell and a demo version of fruityloops. Now i have a Lenovo with 6 gigs of ram and an i7 processor running Ableton. I use an axiom 25 keyboard as well. Favorite synths are Albino, Massive, Nexus and Operator primarily.
[IF]When was your first Gig/Performance?
[65L]Anu Bar in San Francisco.
Who has been a major influence to your productions?
[65L]It's always going to be DMZ, Deep Medi Musik and Swamp81 for me. Currently there are some sick labels that I'm stoked on like Gamma Audio, Savory Audio, BlackBox-BoxClever, SubLab, too many too list really.
[IF]What are your future goals for performances and productions?
I'm currently only interested in production at the moment. Any new material I make will be put up on my 65L Soundcloud account.
[IF]Do you collaborate with anyone? If so who?
[65L]My homie Kirill, but the San Francisco DJ scene knows him as Proper. We started "producing" at the same times and have been collaborating ever since. My homie Harry is on the come up, and we swap project files when we can. We all run under the collective name of Subvibed.
[IF]What is your Favorite or preferred performing equipment?(;Turntables(maker)/CDJ's/Drum-pads/Keyboards/Controllers)
[65L]Turntables. the control is unparalleled and no suckers can step to them
[IF]What is the biggest event you want to perform at?
[65L]I'll take what I can get honestly, it's all about the musics.
